Material Recovery Facility

The Aspen Waste Management Facility operates a Material Recovery Facility that serves as a drop off point for Recyclables and Household Hazardous Waste.

Eligible paint and E-waste can be brought to the facility at no charge to the hauleras long as the material is not brought in with other chargeable materials.

Household Hazardous Waste Program

The Aspen Waste Management Authority operates a year round Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program to ensure proper disposal of potential harmful chemicals and compounds from your home.

How do I know if it's Hazardous?

Any household product, with one or more hazard symbols, that can’t be used up (or in some cases recycled) may be brought to the Aspen Waste Management Facility for proper disposal.

Always keep each material – never mixing – in its original labelled container and store safely out of reach of children and pets.

Recyclables include:

  • Batteries
  • Blue Bags
  • E-waste (TV's & Computers)
  • Metal
  • Paper
  • Propane Tanks
